As far a chucky movies go, this is a pretty solid entry into the franchise. It has a good blend of comedy and horror with several memorable scenes. As a whole, it’s more funny than scary, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
– Chucky(Brad Dourif) in Bride of Chucky.
Brad Dourif always does a great job voicing Chucky and his performance in Bride of Chucky is no exception. The addition of Jennifer Tilly into the mix was welcome and added more opportunities for comedic shenanigan’s.
It was nice to see John Ritter playing the Chief of Police although his performance was fairly weak. The second half of the film drags and the entire climax sequence seemed uninspired.
Bride of Chucky was exactly what I expected. This isn’t high-brow cinema, it’s Chucky! If your a fan of this series, grab some popcorn and give it a watch.
