That’s a Wrap! Filming on the Resident Evil Movie Reboot is Complete

(movie news)

Director Johannes Roberts just finished filming the upcoming Resident Evil film. This was confirmed on the official Resident Evil Twitter account.

This movie marks the end of the Mila Jovovich helmed Resident Evil movies and is a fresh start for the popular horror franchise. The new film takes place in 1998 Raccoon City and, according to the Director, will rely heavily on the first two RE games as inspiration. He goes on to say that he wants to convey “a grounded human story about a small dying American town that feels both relatable and relevant to today’s audiences.”

The Resident Evil reboot is set to release on September 9, 2021.
