80’s Kid with a Passion for Physical Media
At the age of 10 I rented the movie Alien on VHS. My parents, seemingly unaware of the horrors within this film, never thought twice about leaving me alone in a dark bedroom to watch this “slasher in space”. To say the movie made an impression would be an understatement. I was both terrified and mesmerized by the movie magic that was unfolding before me.
From that moment I was passionate about film. But it was not just the movies that intrigued my young mind and offered a bit of healthy escapism. Video games, comic books, music and novels served a similar purpose.
This website serves as a chronicle for all the media that I experience. I’ll rate each movie, game or book and write a brief(spoiler-free) review along with information about the source and setup. Physical media is always my preferred method of viewing/experiencing but I do stream content and download games digitally as well.
As the website continues to grow I plan on adding more content including posts that showcase new physical media releases, rankings(worst to best) and more!

I am a huge movie fanatic and have a lot of knowledge on movies in general, actors, directors, movie making, etc. My basic knowledge of anything film related goes all the way back to the 1920’s and up. One of my favorite movies of all time is 1933’s King Kong, that should tell you enough right there.
